BIO
I was born in Louisville, KY and received my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography at the University of Louisville in 1998. I received a Master of Fine Arts in Cinema and Photography specializing in digital imaging at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale in 2002. After grad school, I moved to Aspen, Colorado and opened up my own fine art printing and photography business. While in Colorado, I had the privilege to work with various artists, as well as many Photography and Photoshop instructors at the Anderson Ranch Arts Center. I was the studio manager of the photography department. It was here, where I discovered my love of teaching photography and digital arts. Since 2003, I have been teaching Photography, Video, and Photoshop classes in workshop environments and at the college level. From August 2011–July 2013 I was an Adjunct Photography Instructor for Ivy Tech Community College. During these years I developed Photography classes for the Visual Communications department. In August of 2013, I was hired on full-time at Ivy Tech Southern Indiana and am currently the Associate Professor of Visual Communications specializing in Photography, Photoshop, and Video courses.
